Match Report
Match Report - 27 Apr 2024, RHP (Chelmsford) Sports & Social Club Club Friendly lost to Runwell Hospital
I wish first of all to thank Paul Clayton, for taking up Captain of the day duties, as i was away for the weekend. I understand from Paul that it was a very good time there received very kindly by Dave Martin, the Captain and his team. The game went very well, we lost by 8 points which is amazing.
Things turned out rather disappointing with a couple of players, who became quite awkward when it came to asking for £2.50 to cater for the Runwell teams tea and biscuits when they come to us next year.
This totals £30. One person thought it was unreasonable and refused to pay her £2.50.
There is a problem in some peoples minds about mutual payment club games, in that they do not charge us, and we do not charge them when they come to us. But they do not appreciate that we need to pay for them when they come to us, and the monies collected at the visit to Runwell would have paid next year for their tea and biscuits. This is where it being later discussed that we are worried about £30 over the time lapse of a year. It is realised we will have to pay next year for ourselves as well as paying for Runwell with the £30 collected Saturday.
I am hoping that our club will sort this out in a positive sensible manner. We will be having Halstead coming to us and to them later in the year under a mutual situation, so i hope there will be a sensible way.
Best wishes
Colin Reynolds
